Commonwealth Bank asks customers for banking ideas, Technology ,

The Commonwealth Bank has created a platform to crowdsource ideas forthe future of online banking. The bank said its IdeaBank website would open onDecember 8. Members would be able to make suggestions and vote up or down thosemade by other contributors.
It hoped to get a spectrum of ideas "from apps and products tosuggestions for better customer service" and promised to give $10,000 tothe "most popular idea", both among the site's users and the CBA'smanagement team. The bank announced in October it would diversify where all commonwealthBank customers will be able to make contactless payments from their iPhone 4and 4S devices within the year through the bank’s ‘Kaching’ app.
The bank is the first in Australia to integrate near-fieldcommunications technology with smartphone software in a commercial application, despite various trials since 2007.I had said to a friend involved with the bankthat Australian market lacked the scale, need and partnerships required forcontactless phone payment options to emerge but let me wait and see how farthis bank can go with this new technology as am an account holder there.
